Our starting wage range is $17.
50-$19.

This range has not been adjusted for any specific geographic differential applicable by area where the position may be filled.
Compensation takes into account several factors including but not limited to a candidate's experience, education, skills, licensure and certifications, department equity, training and organizational needs.

Assist Memory Care Management team with planning, organizing, scheduling, coordinating and directing comprehensive activity programs and events designed to enhance the mind body and soul of each of our residents.
Essential Duties and responsibilities Include the following.

Regular and predictable attendance is an essential function of the job.

Know and understand dementia and how residents may be affected by the disease progression.
Recognize psychosocial needs of the elderly.
Study and analyze resident recreational needs and resources.
Continuously seeks out new activities, events and excursions.
Know and understand resident's likes, dislikes, hobbies and interests by ensuring each resident's life story is completed.
Encourage residents to participate in programming by trying to maximize individual participation in events, while still respecting their right to privacy.
Assist with completing the orientation of all new residents and by encouraging them to attend programs that they have enjoyed based on their life story.
Interpret programs and their philosophy to individuals and groups through personal participation and staff assignments.
Attend computer workshops and activity training meetings.
Assist with scheduling maintenance and use of Activity Rooms, company vehicles and all of the equipment necessary for the departments use.
Provide a stimulating and interesting activity program.
Put up all holiday decorations at the beginning of each month.
Assist with scheduling a wide variety of activities and events that reflect the seasons of the year and the interests and temperament of the residents.
The program should always provide residents with a challenge, yet never be demeaning.
Assist with the completion of a professional and attractive monthly newsletter/calendar using the provided template.
Give feedback to your manager regarding programs you run.
Ensure that all residents receive greeting cards and notes on special occasions, such as birthdays, get wells and anniversaries.
Ensure that all supplies and or equipment are stored appropriately, immediately following the completion of any use.
Monitor the Activity Rooms to ensure that they are organized and neat at all times.
Assist with purchasing equipment and services from outside vendors with approval from the immediate manager.
Assist with establishing and maintaining contact with service vendors, entertainers, teachers, etc.
Assist with the coordination of all transportation needs, including driving if applicable.
Manage all signup sheets for outings and scenic drives by taking into consideration elopement risk, number of wheelchairs and staff to accompany resident's to the restroom.
Assist immediate manager with the monthly activity budget and ensure that expenditures are within the budget.
Understands and maintains Quality Assurance standards in the Memory Care Program.
Keep current on regulations of Title 22 which pertain to your department.
Coordinate and supervise the Volunteer Program.
Knowledgeable in evaluating resident needs and assisting volunteers Assist all residents while on an outing, this includes assistance with personal care
Qualifications:
Communication Skills Ability to communicate clearly and effectively.
Interact well with our Carlton Family - residents, family members, all staff members, futureresidents.
Reasoning Ability Ability to apply common sense understanding and carry out written or oral instructions.
Education and Experience A High School Diploma or GED is required, or equivalent experience.
Must be computer literate for communication, scheduling, ordering, tracking, and budgeting.
According to Title 22 requirements, employee must be at least eighteen (18) years of age.
Certificates, License, Registration Current First Aid Certification (obtained through community) DOJ and FBI fingerprint clearance must be completed prior to working in community (obtained through community) Health screening and negative TB test, must be less than six (6) months old.
