Production Control:
Responsible for planning, scheduling, and monitoring the flow of material through the production cycle (25-50%).
Inventory Control:
Responsible for performing tasks involved in receiving, storing, and distributing materials, parts, and supplies, ensuring the timely and accurate processing of paperwork and handling of materials (50-75%).
Major
Responsibilities:
Production Control:
1.
Calculates and plans amount and timing of material requirements.
2.
Generates purchase requisitions, traveling requisitions, shop orders, and shippers for material required for production.
3.
Monitors the efficient movement of materials with purchasing, production, inspection, receiving, and stores.
4.
Performs routine recordkeeping and reporting tasks such as status reports on production and material deficiencies.
Works on problems of moderate scope where analysis of situation or data requires a review of identifiable factors.
Inventory Control:
Receives incoming material; examines and counts material received.
Stocks materials and parts.
Prepares and audits kits and issues materials and parts to planning and production personnel.
Resolves kitting problems.
Fills parts shortages.
Ensures completion of required paperwork for incoming and out-going materials and parts.
Performs other duties as required, including cycle counting, inventory activities, and general housekeeping of stockroom areas.
Performs moderate physical efforts.
Requires a working knowledge of an ERP system Experience/Knowledge/Training:
Production Control:
Normally requires a minimum of four years of related experience and the ability to read difficult instructions, maintain written records and utilize basic math skills.
Normally requires high school diploma or equivalent.
Requires experience planning parts and materials for electro-mechanical assemblies.
Inventory Control:
Requires a minimum of four years of related experience and the ability to read and write, to add and subtract whole numbers, and to carry out instructions.
Requires stockroom, kitting, cycle counting and receiving experience, using a computerized inventory control system.
Additional Requirements:
Flexible to work varied shifts, overtime and weekends.
Ability to type for extended periods of time.
Ability to sit for extended periods of time.
Able to to stoop, bend, kneel, and squat for extended periods of time.
Able to push, and reach for extended periods of time.
Must have good repetitive manual dexterity with both hands.
Must have sufficient vision to see relative positions of small parts and able to discern symmetry and proper alignment.
Will be exposed to some or all of the following:
fumes, dust, toxic or caustic chemicals, outdoor weather, moving mechanical parts and moderate to loud noise levels.
Able to move items 35 pounds for distances of up to 50 feet.
Must wear appropriate personal protective equipment as necessary In compliance with California's Fair Pay Act, the salary range for this role in California is $43,500 - $80,000.
