Job Description:
The Sr Assoc, Program Finance position is responsible for performing a wide range of financial analysis, reporting & accounting activities.
Administers budgets for programs.
Performs analyses and preparation of reports ensure contracts are within negotiated and agreed-upon parameters and government cost control guidelines.
Prepares budgets and schedules for contract work and performing and/or assisting in financial analyses such as funding profiles, sales outlook, and variance analysis.
Conducts detailed financial analysis.
Interprets and implements proposal estimating, pricing and documentation requirements.
Reviews and approves recommendations for financial planning and control.
Monitors program adherence to approved budget.
Essential Functions:
Responsible for the preparation of financial reporting & analysis reporting packages, including the monthly and quarterly Corporate Business Reviews and Forecasts.
Assists in the preparation & review of EACs, Program Financial Performance and post completion program reviews Be a financial POC at program reviews including IRAD and in-house jobs.
Support cost & pricing activities as required.
Preparation of SOX related testing and maintenance of internal controls for EACs, Revenue Recognition and Program Finance.
Tracks Advanced Funding Request status.
Labor utilization and other resource planning analytics & reporting, including presenting findings to Division management.
Prepare and process journal entries applicable to program activities.
Perform month, quarter, and year-end close processes and account reconciliations as they relate to Program activities including Orders/Funding,Sales, Operating Income and Cash flows.
As required, participate in the completion of monthly financial reporting packages prepared by the Controller's Office.
Participates in corporate audits and regulatory compliance as related to Program Finance and Financial Reporting & Analysis.
Updates and monitors manloading.
Investigates budget labor/material/ODC VS.
actual labor/material/ODC as required, including Program related rework and root cause analysis.
Supports Program Managers in identifying and tracking program reserves and risk.
Supports milestone billing.
Supports pricing for spares & repairs & PMI.
Qualifications:
(refer to Career Framework) A minimum of a Bachelor's degree is required plus at least four (4) years of related experience is required.
May have practical knowledge of project management.
Bachelor's Degree and minimum 4 years of prior relevant experience or 2 years post-Secondary/ Associates Degree and a minimum of 8 years of prior related experience.
Graduate Degree and a minimum of 2 years of prior related experience Must be proficient with Excel and MS Office suite.
Strong analytical, written and oral communication skills are essential.
Must be able to multi-task and prioritize effectively as well as be successful in meeting deadlines and have a strong attention to detail and accuracy.
Able to perform accounting reconciliations and journal entries, and have an understanding of ERP accounting software.
Preferred Additional Skills:
Knowledge of Hyperion/HFM is a plus.
Knowledge of the FAR & CAS is a strong plus.
Previous Sarbanes Oxley testing experience is highly desired.
Proficient use of ERP system is a strong plus.

Estimated Salary: $20 to $28 per hour based on qualifications.
