Maintenance Manager

As the Maintenance Manager, you will be responsible for managing all aspects and functions of the Department. Maintenance functions include: equipment design, sourcing and installation, equipment upkeep and troubleshooting, preventive maintenance, managing capital budget projects, facilities maintenance, equipment food safety compliance, OSHA safety compliance. Must be strong leader able to manage multiple tasks, excellent communication and team building skills, strong project management background. This position reports to the VP of Operations.

DUTIES AND
Responsibilities:
Responsible for maintaining each piece of equipment in excellent repair and working condition.
Responsible for developing and implementing a weekly audit of each piece of equipment to identify needed repairs. An action plan must be implemented on a weekly basis to address audit findings.
Responsible for developing and implementing a preventive maintenance program.
Responsible for developing and implementing a training program for each Mechanic. All mechanics must be proficient in making repairs and must posses the necessary knowledge and ability to get the job done.
Responsible for ensuring that all Mechanics are trained in lock out-tag out procedures and for enforcing same.
Responsible for developing and or updating job descriptions for each position within the Maintenance Department.
Responsible for keeping an up to date inventory on all mechanical parts and to manage inventory levels.
Responsible for managing the Maintenance Department budget including direct labor cost, parts and materials cost, outside services cost and overhead cost.
Responsible for outsourcing and coordinating outside services as well as all activity from outside contractors when and as required.
Responsible for planning coordinating and overseeing equipment modifications when and as required.
Responsible for assisting the Quality Assurance Department to prepare the plant to pass an AIB audit with a Superior Rating.
Responsible for developing the necessary log sheets, procedures, set-up guides, reports, contact names and numbers to monitor the condition of major facility systems.
Responsible for the purchase of all repair parts.
Will assist in the purchase of new equipment including the development of cost justifications (ROI) when necessary.
Responsible to oversee the installation of new equipment.
Responsible for facility maintenance, for managing usage of all utilities and services.
Responsible for executing, verifying or overseeing all administrative duties pertaining to position such as Time and Attendance, PO's, Reports, Logs, Documentations, Evaluations, Inventory Count Reports, etc., etc.

Must be computer literate - Word, Excel etc.
Must have a minimum of five years experience in a management position in the field of Equipment Maintenance and in the operation of a Manufacturing Facility.
Must have project management experience. Includes experience in the field of purchasing, cost and ROI justifications and installation of equipment.
Must have cost management and inventory control experience.
Must have general knowledge in the fields of Fabrication, Welding and Electrical as well as in the operation of Boilers, Gas Combustion Ovens, Refrigeration and Electronics.
Must have experience in contract negotiations and ability to manage outside contractors.
Must have proficient knowledge in facilities' Maintenance such as; Refrigeration, A/C's, Water Chillers, Boilers, Compressed Air, Hydraulics, Waste Water equipment, Chemical Containment, Fire Prevention. Knowledge of State and Federal Environmental Regulations and for securing Operating Permits for Boilers and any other piece of equipment that requires it.
Mechanical Engineer background a plus.
Bilingual (English-Spanish) a plus
Estimated Salary: $20 to $28 per hour based on qualifications.
