DVP, Finance - Tax

Key AccountabilitiesThis role directs and oversees the organizations tax policies and objectives for its U.
S.
and Canadian entities.
Monitors reporting to ensure compliance with applicable tax statutes, ensures accuracy of tax returns and works to minimize the organizations tax obligations.
This position is responsible for the Company's tax compliance, tax planning and accounting for income taxes.
The successful candidate will work with an internal team and third party service providers as needed.
ResponsibilitiesResponsible for completion of federal, international and state income tax returns including all related analysis and support.
Oversight of the tax returns for the Company's international entities.
Responsible for sales, use and property tax functions.
Responsible for appropriate filing of Canadian GST/HST/QSTResponsible for audits of federal and state income tax and state and local filings.
Responsible for accounting for income taxes.
Coordination of accounting for income taxes for international entities with third party vendors.
Responsible for transfer pricing and management fee arrangements.
Supervise professional paraprofessional staff.
Liaison with operating management on tax issues and accounting staff on tax accounting issues.
Ensuring that appropriate internal controls are in place over accounting for income taxes.
Departmental liaison with IT staff on all technical matters relating to tax applications.
Assisting the Treasury department with tax planning issues as required.
Assist the Treasury department in estimating and monitoring annual cash taxes.
Complete proper Sales Tax Exemption Certificates, including researching purchases that qualifies for manufacturing exemptions.
Perform research and analysis, and apply tax laws to support technical positions related to the Company's business transactions.
Skills, Experience & QualificationsMaster's degree in Taxation or Bachelor's Degree in Accounting.
CPA and/or JD preferred.
10
years of corporate tax experience with multi-state sales and Canadian GST/HST/QST experience with 5 years in a public accounting firm preferred.
Experience with ERP systems.
Strong tax research and data analytic skills.
Strong Excel skills.
Strong multitasking skills; organized and attentive to details.
Excellent communication, writing, and interpersonal skills to interact with all levels of an organization.
Must have a demonstrated hands-on approach and success in working in a team-based environment.

Estimated Salary: $20 to $28 per hour based on qualifications.

The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
